A Finished Duke Pillow!

Want to join the August Polaroid Swap I'm hosting?  Click here!

I'm excited to be linking up a Friday Finish this week that has been in the WIP pile for quite awhile!

The center piece is a flour sack dish towel I bought almost two years ago.  It looks like Duke!  Except for the ears!  :-) I knew I wanted to cut it up and turn it into something and finally, this morning, I did it.  I had purchased the backing fabric awhile ago at JoAnn fabric when outdoor fabrics were on sale.  I added in other bits of red and black fabrics to the front and also cut up the dish towel for the white border around the edge.  I love making something quick and easy.

My oldest son, Mitch, will be going back to college next week.  I can't believe how quickly his summer at home went by!  We took a day to go to Seattle with Jack and have some Mom and sons time.  I loved it!  Jack loves being with his big brother, too.

  4. Cutest pillow I've seen! I think it's the dog that makes it so adorable. Very nice job.
