I decided to pull my string quilt out of the stack and finish it. I love the bright happy colors! I had left off with it in rows so yesterday I began joining pairs of rows. I took lots of time to press the seams as I went along. I should be quilting it this afternoon!
Last night was this year's final performance for the high school jazz choir. Mitch was just fantastic on his bass, spinning it around and thumping it as he played. The surprise of the night....he was awarded "Director's Choice Award" by his teacher for the impact he has made this year. So proud!
My pinched nerve is healing and I was able to walk Duke on his leash to our downtown shop yesterday. Doesn't he look sweet posing by the longboards?!
Oh for the quilt back, which vintage sheet do you like better?
I'm linking up to Freshly Pieced WIP Wednesday!

I'm leaning toward the pink floral. Love your string quilt! Makes me want to do another one.

Ohhh, a string quilt. You've hit on something that's on my 'bucket list' and has been calling to me for sometime. I keep telling it to wait, hahaha. I'm so glad to hear you're feel better! Yes, Duke looks cute... pretty much anywhere. Whhohohoo for the directors award. And, I also like the pink sheet on the left.
ReplyDeleteOh, your quilt with stripes is adorable! I love that pattern and your happy colours! Give hugs to Duke! x Teje & Nero
ReplyDeleteI love all the colors in your quilt. I pick the one on the left also.
ReplyDeleteI really like the sheet on the left! Perfect! Duke is so cute...black dogs are the best!
ReplyDeleteI do I've string quilts and I would vote for the left sheet!
ReplyDeleteOh my, it's awesome! loving all the pics. totally wish i could see that performance you spoke of, mitch sounds like a rockstar! i was thinking that from a distance, the sheet on the right looks to "pop" but since it's the backing and wouldnt really be side by side (unless you're like me and it's always in a pile on the couch) then i really love the sheet on the left. then you could do a bold, white with black polka dot binding, for a "pop" line of contrast between the back and the front when its in a pile! im loving that.
ReplyDeleteI love all the color in your quilt. I would go with the one on the left. Sounds like that's the winner. Such wonderful news about Mitch. Well done!
